+1Delicious food, good wine!🍷

Helpful and attentive waiter, Francesco. Good advice on wine. Food was excellent. Ambience was not great due, I think, because we went as soon as the restaurant opened. This, I would say, is about 1-1.5 hours before most locals would have been eating, so it was fairly quiet.

Great meal, attentive staff and very friendly

Some of the food was excellent - delicious ravioli- but we think we caught chef on a bad night. Main course was served without accompanying potatoes and sea bass crust was a little heavy.. Desert was ordered then not lack of Ricotta. Perfect service however but overall did not quite meet expectations.

Francisco was very attentive and made our dinner perfect.

A quiet, exceptional restaurant off the beaten path. Our waiter Francesco was kind and very attentive, and advised us well on both the food and wine. Our octopus starter was divine, and both the pasta dishes (Dinorma and tagliolini with lobster) were delicious. We left room for dessert, and loved the cannolo scomposto and the pistachio tiramisu. The chef (Corradino) came over to chat with us and shared his secret for making the best pasta alla Norma. We highly recommend this gem.

The waiter was very friendly and helpful, advising about choice of wine with our food selection. We had the red prawn starter, which was delicious, followed by the lobster pasta with raisins and almonds, which was excellent and a clever use of local ingredients. We sat on the outside tables, benefiting from a great view of the lovely buildings . Altogether fab!

We had a wonderful dinner at La Porta Urbica! The street has relatively little traffic so it was lovely to sit outdoors. Francesco provided excellent, attentive service all evening. The raw plate appetizer was amazing (the red shrimp and the prawns were very sweet) and the lobster tagliolini was delicious. And to top it all off, we had a pistachio tiramisu topped with a ton of chopped pistachios. Highly recommend La Porta Urbica!

We really enjoyed our meal at La Porta Urbica! The food was fantastic — compliments to the chef — and our waiter was spectacular, making our experience even more special. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is located at a quiet „non-touristic“ spot on Ortigia island. We had fish and meat courses, both were absolutely delicious. Especially the beef fillet with a mushroom sauce had an outstanding quality. Francesco the waiter was so friendly and helpful and he even could speak in German with us. Grazie mille per tutto!!

We had a very delicious evening there! We started with a caponata siciliana and a Tartare di manzo, followed by Ravioli al sugo di pesce Spada and Spaghetti Vongole. Then, ax a dessert, we had a Cannolo and a Tiramisu Pistacchio. Nothing else to say. Georgeous. God would rest there!

Very good traditional food, with excellent service by the staff. Food is rather pricey, but worth it considering the quality and the overall experience. Highly recommended.

The seafood they offered was of high quality and very fresh, especially the oysters and Sicilian red shrimp. That's why we ordered it twice. The seasoning of the tuna tartare was outstanding and left a lasting impression. The chef's special that day was octopus pasta, and its sauce was very flavorful and unique, unlike the common sauces used in other restaurants. The restaurant had a rich wine list to choose from, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that their whiskey selection included local Sicilian options as well as Japanese varieties. The experience here was definitely better than other places that only serve dishes with salt or thick tomato sauce. The next time we visit Siracusa, we will definitely return.
