I've been vegan for almost 10 years and love to visit vegan places whenever I go abroad. So far I haven't had any bad experience. Even if the food may have not been extraordinary or mind blowing it has always been such a pleasure to be in places where you feel welcome and know that everyone around you shares the same values or at least is curious about trying out something new. Santa y Pura, however, was such a disappointment. Was it the food? No! The food was absolutely delicious and of high quality. The service and thus the ambience tho! Not only did we have to wait for aaaages for our food but the people there made us feel absolutely out of place. Maybe we did not fit into their group of pople? Asking for salt (which I always do) got me the most evil looks one can imagine. A warm welcome? Negative. A friendly goodbye? Negative. Asking for more water or another round ouf tapas? How dare we! This behaviour does the entire vegan community such a disservice. Thanks for nothing :)
