If you’re looking to have a fabulous meal, look no further! We were thoroughly impressed with our entire dinner and experience at Sgarro Bistrot! We were welcomed with a glass of champagne and then had a delicious dinner starting with a Mista salad and Seafood Pasta and Seafood Risotto! Everything was fresh and the seafood so delicious and plentiful! This was our absolutely Best meal in Rome located in the Palazzo Popolo area!! It’s a small family restaurant (make a reservation) who puts love into their menu. We’re leaving soon to return home to Los Angeles and very happy we found this gem!

The restaurant is very small and on a side street off Via della Croce near the Spanish Steps so would be easy to miss, but don’t. Again the interior is quite basic but don’t be put off by that. And that’s because of the food, which is fabulous and is well matched by a comprehensive wine list. Add in a very attentive and friendly restauranteur who responded to the fact it was my wife’s birthday and added a desert to share between the 8 of us on the house. This was the best venue we went to in Rome and is worth booking.
