Nice little restourant, friendly service, tasty food, practical way of serving food. All the food was served in the middle of the table on hot plates. Everyone could taste each other's dishes.

We went for a menu. Small informal place. For the casual evening. Excellent food!!

For our taste the curries are too creamy and not enough tomato in the ‘gravy’. Unfortunately I did not feel too good either the next morning. Shame as it’s nice restaurant and v friendly manager.
Sita Indian & Nepalese restaurantThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the dish didn’t quite match your taste preferences. Sahi Paneer is a traditionally rich and creamy dish with only a bit of tomato sauce. We did inform you about this beforehand that it is a creamy dish which is a bit sweet to the taste. There are definitely other choices in our menu that may be better suited for your taste such as paneer jalfrezi. We prepare our dishes freshly everyday, so maybe the sicknes had another cause. Still we're genuinely sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well the next day — we take food safety and preparation very seriously. Kind regards, Team Sita

Late in town, found this spot by chance. Very traditional location, in a central neighborhood. I tried MoMo, which I’d totally recommend (taste reminded my time in Nelal), and a Nepalese chicken. I’ve asked it as mildly spicy - as I was worried I could not cope with more - but it turned out one might be braver and ask for spicier. Service is caring; might take some time.

We had to wait 25 minutes before we got our beers. We ordered food as soon as the waiter brought our beers, had to wait for another 45 minutes. The waiter was very friendly though, he could not help kitchen was badly organized. Yiu should havea popular dish like butter chicken ready!! Food was nice, but I was glad we made it on time to the Concertgebouw.

The food was ok. Naan was the best bit. Service not so good. No one checks if you’re ok for everything. Have to go up and pay. The older woman was very unfriendly.

The food was very good overall, but the experience was damped a bit by the door, woman server who seem to be taking care of the entire dining room. Finally, at the end of the meal, we saw another man, but she just seemed really unhappy, and never once smiled, which changes the experience. it was our last night in Amsterdam and so it felt a little bit sad.

Went here while on vacation to Amsterdam. Really enjoyed the food here. Tasted great and very reasonably priced. Would definitely eat there again.

This restaurant has a warm vibe, classic surroundings, superb and friendly service as well as amazingly well-prepared food from far away cultures. I would highly recommend the experience to anyone looking for a great night out with authentic and tasty cuisine.

Been here few times. This time my experience: restaurant was full when we (6) arrived at 19:00, and we waited about 10 min for our table - we were okay with that. They serve ‘hot plate’/sizzler food, and because it was so busy (and without greatest of ventilation) there place had very strong spices/curry smell, at least for hour or so - it got better later. Service was( (understandable) bit slow but super friendly waiter (owner?). Also waited long for mains. But food was really excellent: fish curry, butter chcken & chicken saag. Still one of my favourite & afordable Indian/Nepalese spots in Amsterdam.
