During our trip to Paris as a group of 8, we looked for a restaurant with a variety of options for adults and kids and found The Family near to our rental. Surprisingly they were able to seat us on short notice-- on two different evenings. In part this was because as Americans we eat earlier than most other city residents and travellers. There was enough variety to the menu that we could all find something to enjoy, and my duck was so good that two others ordered it on our second visit. The first night we had a server (possibly the owner?) who had a great sense of humor and added to the fun. The second visit a different man was serving tables, and while less outgoing, was still good to us. It's Europe, so they don't check your tables while you dine. It was easy enough to flag them down for the bill. A small restaurant, but we thought it was good food and service.

Food was mediocre. Onion soup. Risotto. Chocolate mousse. All ok. But not better than ok. (Soup had a slimy texture underneath the cheese, risotto was too mushy - no bite, and the mousse - felt as if they bought it somewhere, it wasn't particularly good, and simply served it). Service was nice. The atmosphere - again - not bad, but not particularly good either. Bottom line: There are tastier places for similar prices.

The service is excellent. My baby daughter was crying which made me really nervous and embarrassed; and I started quickly preparing to leave. The waiter came and reassured me and told me everyone is welcome here so I shouldn’t stress and to take my time nothing is more normal than a crying baby . That was super sweet. Plus the food is really great, the service is fast and efficient. The prices are correct. I will go back definitely.

My first meal in Paris and it did not disappoint. Excellent food and friendly service. The cheesy mashed potatoes are the winner. Would’ve loved to have taken pictures but the food was so good and we were starving that I just enjoyed it.

A splendid dinner - space was nice but nothing fancy. Food and service outstanding - Cocktails, Bluecheese burgers and chocolate mousse! Reasonably priced and well worth a visit!
