we are four and would like to share the dishes. we asked staff to give more plates. but she just give us two more plates for using.

The online booking confirmed, the manager then told me the restaurant was full and that he had closed online bookings. He found a table for us at 19:30 and I waited for my date. On seating he said that the kitchen would be closed from 21:00. Then, while I waited until 19:35 for my date, he visited the table no less than 5 times pressing the need to order and that the kitchen is closing and he did me a favour by finding a seat (I had booked a table, that his system had failed to book). Eventually I asked if he wants me to leave and he acts surprised that I’m flustered and changes his approach and sends a different waiter. We ordered well before 8 and finished before the kitchen closed. The manager really needs to look at how he treats clients. I was stressed out waiting for a date by the person running the place for: “Booking a table, confirmed by the app, and ordering food before the kitchen closed - wtf?”

The service was slow the young man didn't pay much attention to his customers, the lady was little better,the food was good I had the chicken schnitzel and my wife smoke salmon

The acoustics are terrible, noise!! The food's arrival time is longer than usual, we received cold extra bread, probably not thawed, pasta arrived as a lump, slow service, unprofessional and not considering the fact that there are children at the meal. There were some tasty dishes, but they weren't wow either

Yesterday we had a busy evening and we were completely full, so we can't do anything about the noise and we are happy that we can give everyone a place in our restaurant. We work with fresh bread and this does not come from our freezer. Food was nice. Chai tea is very nice. Service was very slow. We had to wait a long time before they took our plates.. they didn't asked us during dinner if everything was ok or if we wanted another drink. Also at the end we just put on our jackets as they didn't ask if we needed anything else..

Totally BRILLIANT. An amazing experience. I discovered this restaurant, thanks to The Fork, in March 2023. I had reserved again, with The Fork, so when I arrived, the Manager, Frankie called me by my first name (most appreciated). He also wished me Happy Birthday and the owner Dick so kindly gave me a present…a very welcome lovely umbrella ☂️!! Then it was cake and a fireworks candle. So kind. That set the atmosphere. I ordered an aperitif…an excellent draft beer. Then ordered the beef brisket which was PERFECT. Tender beef, lovely veal gravy with cranberries on a bed of mashed potato and sauerkraut. Very original and a delicious combination. The chef came to my table so we discussed the dish, and I congratulated him. Completed with an excellent glass of Sauvignon. The high spot was Frankie…he was marvellous. So professional and took care of me perfectly. Even ran outside after me when I forgot my jacket. When I asked to the pay the bill, he said « finish your wine first » but I said I’d finished it…. He said « no » …he’d SO kindly served me another glass, without my knowing….how lovely…I felt thoroughly spoilt and had a WONDERFUL birthday. Thank you to everyone. I’ll certainly be back, and thoroughly recommend this restaurant, which has original and delicious cuisine, lovely staff, great decor, atmosphere and feel. Margaret Groves

Quite nice restaurant close to Sloterdijk Station. With a short lunch menu and limited choice on fish dishes. The fried calamari where not bad, after that I took around 1 hour to serve 2 main dishes, a very poor Cesar Salade, standard served with no chicken, ansjovis and cherry tomatoes, not sure if they know what a Cesar salade is, but for 10€ (+4 if you want chicken) you get a bowl of green salade, parmigiana look alike and croutons), then we had the pappardelle, which never arrived, instead we got a risotto type of dish, also in this case there is no knowledge of risotto, as the rice and the other parts (mushrooms and vegetable) where aside of it. To me not a restaurant I would go again, there is poor knowledge of Italian cousin, and a very very bad service. We paid 50,90€ for a disappointing lunch and 120m we could use for something else. My advice? Just don’t go.

Hi Denis, thank you for the review, i know that it took a while for you to get your main dish as you were enjoying the calamares and we did not call for your meal till you where finished. I am surprised that you say the service was very bad as you were helped courteously and politely.(you did have to wait a while for your meal and for this i apologise) You complain about the food but give us a 8. Yes we do serve the risotto with the tartuffo on the side. The papardelle (i did offer to bring you Papadella) which you had ordered is indeed mixed with the Tartuffo. I am really sorry that you where not satisfied and do hope that you will give us a chance to prove that this was a Monday Blues day, and that it will be much beter the next time. once again my apologies kind regards Dick Snijder

Food is okay. Portions are on the smaller side relative to the prices. Services is slow. Took 40 minutes to receive food. Didn’t seem crowded so maybe they are understaffed but not worth waiting for. Very underwhelming, both the food and service.

Really nice restaurant; the staff is very friendly, especially towards children (immediately brought paper and pens and joked with my 8-year-old). Great location even with a stroller (you can avoid the stairs by going around the block). The food is delicious and urban. Cool interior; music reminds me of the 1990s.

Excellent food and an excellent host! Entrecôte was perfect as were the chicken burger and the two dishes of skewers. So good we’re coming back tomorrow! Thank you for your great sevice.
