9.5/10It was a great find and barely other guest present so we as a group of 9 people had a lot of space and could enjoy our dinner to the fullest! Big recommendation in jordaan.

9.5/10It is my favourite place to eat in Amsterdam. Just delicious. Service was amazing. It was my second visit and I'll definitely be back. Would highly recommend.

9/10I have been to about five Ethiopean/Eritrean restaurants before and I always enjoy them. The dishes are varied and the way to eat with the sour dough crêpes is a nice change to our conventional eating. This restaurant was very good and I can definitely recommend it. The only thing I was not delighted by was that in the non-meat version there was only a single spicy sauce... the famous spicy egg does not come in a vegeratian version.

9.5/10Love Ethiopian food and this has some really good examples. We have eaten there twice, the first time we split the large meat platter for 2 (substituting an Okra dish for one of the meat dishes) and the second time we ordered individual dishes. The injera is well done, the lentil dishes are very tasty (particularly the red lentils), good greens. I really like the spicy red meat and fish dishes, my wife loves the okra in red sauce. Restaurant is in a quiet part of Amsterdam with some tables looking out at a canal. House wines are reasonable, good beer selection.

Restaurant Semhar gebruikt in haar keuken zeven hoofdkruiden in steeds wisselende samenstelling.
