This is a very beautiful restaurant and with good vibes. We had the matricciana pasta and the tarte tatin for dessert. Amazing!

We recently visited Restaurant Yard and were impressed by its modern and stylish decor. The ambiance was lively with a hip vibe, complemented by great music in the style of jazz legends like Tony Bennett and Michael Buble. The staff greeted us warmly, which set a positive tone initially. However, while the dishes were unique and creative, aiming to stand out, this unfortunately came at the expense of quality. The food tasted good, but there were notable issues: the meat was not cooked properly, and the appetizer, a flat risotto, looked beautiful but became cold very quickly. The wine recommended by the staff was just okay, and the advice given wasn't very thorough. Considering the high prices, the value for money was quite disappointing. The restaurant aspires to a Michelin star level, but in my opinion, it does not meet that standard. The setting, decor, and music were definite highlights of the experience. However, I wouldn't recommend Restaurant Yard given the current pricing and quality of the dishes. Moreover, the service had several shortcomings. The staff's English proficiency was poor, leading to frequent misunderstandings. Our food was often cleared away too quickly, and there were other instances of inattentive service that detracted from the overall experience. In conclusion, while Restaurant Yard has potential, significant improvements in food quality and service are necessary to justify its high prices and to deliver a more pleasant dining experience.

Amazing experience right from booking to check out!Amazing food, great service, just a little warning in Italy, there is something called coperto charges per head, which essentially covers everything from service, table cutlery to the bread that Is served! Not all restaurants charge it but this one definitely does!Overall a great experience.

Even if the restaurant is beatiful and the music well selected, the quality of the food is just average, globally a disappointed experience.

We have been in Verona for over a week and had many excellent meals in high-end restaurants. If you are looking for refined, well executed dishes don't come here. On our arrival it took conversations with 3 staff before our reservation was located. We then waited 30 minutes at our table until someone asked us if we were ready to order, although there were hardly any other guests at that time. The wine list is quite extensive. We asked gif there was a sommelier or anyone who could give us some advice on the local wines. There was no such person. The young woman who served us throughout just said "all I know is that all the wines on our wine list are good." The bread rolls on the table were stale, of a spongy texture and somewhat worse than the stale bread rolls often served on aeroplanes. it is a long time since I. have had such inedible bread anywhere in the world, Although to be fare there were some crispy, focaccia style wafers which were fine. Music plays incessantly.. Until the restaurant filled up, it was very intrusive popular crooning of the "Arriverderci Roma " genre. All of the self promoting signage or cute sayings was in English. Turning to the food, I ordered the "Sicily" pasta which was supposed to have a "summer citrus" sauce. It arrived in a tightly wound oblong ball in a small bowl. When I was able to break up the ball, I was confronted with stuck together pasta, a lot of gluggy cheesy cream and some strands of citrus peel. it was horrible. my partner had pasta with "American" lobster. it was somewhat better. Why lobster from America??? we had a lobster entree in another restaurant the previous night and it was tender fresh and perfectly cooked with an imaginative, refined and delicate dressing. The yard's lobster dressing on the pasta was overcooked over sauced and could have been anything. The main courses were steamed sea bass served in a steaming basked. the fish itself was OK but it had a pile of grated raw ginger dobbed on it which was overpowering. it sat on a bed of steamed carrots, potatoes, turnip , zucchini and lettuce ...no sauce, no seasoning...strikingly similar to the bland and tasteless food served in a hospital or aged care home..My partner had a steak which he asked to be very rare. it was served medium. The meat itself was good quality. It was served with a truffle sauce which was OK on a bed of spinach. It was good enough to compare with any run of the mill neighbourhood restaurant. The service was slow and we poured our own wine. We were astonished that the restaurant was effectively full. I am outraged that Michelin and other reviewers give this restaurant a wrap as a fine dining innovative restaurant. it is anything but that. I havent mentioned the sushi as we didnt have any. We didnt come to Verona to eat sushi, giant American steaks or hamburgers which were the other offerings on the menu. The food menu itself has surprisingly few choices especially of mains. This was the worst dining experience we have had in a long time anywhere in the world

Poor food menu, poor food quality. Red wine served too cold. Miserable impression alltogether

Being a Thursday night in February, the restaurant was not busy. However, the warm welcome and the fact that the space is divided into smaller sections meant that didn’t matter. Additionally, the restaurant’s decor and lighting is cool, meaning that it’s an enjoyable place to eat in its own right. As for the Food, it was outstanding. A mix of styles meant you can create you own fusion if you wish, so a bowl of Asian wok fried vegetables complimented my medium rare fillet steak, while the French fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. A knowledgeable sommelier helped choose a grower between two 2016 Amarone della Valpolicellas selected. The staff were attentive without being intrusive (perfect) and while it’s not cheap (€240 for 2 inclining a €100 bottle) it was still great value. In my view, worth going to when in Verona.

+2Beautiful decor, very friendly staff and great food, we had a very lovely evening, we were celebrating and they put a balloon on my desert and it made the evening so much fun. Amazing champagne list too

It’s an absolutely worth a visit restaurant! Atmosphere is a winning mix of modern and antique. Service is at a high standard. And food is delicious! Their gaspacho is one of the best in the world (but better not to eat dried biscuits as they are hard as stone). Sushi and rolls were very testy too. Excellent rose wine from Toscana by glasses - what else do you need for a happy weekend lunch? )
