The staff was so attentive and friendly! We also loved the minimal menu - all the dishes were incredible. We ordered the baby squid, the tuna tartare, and pork cheeks. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Lisbon!

Although small, the restaurant was cozy and definitely beat my expectations. Each dish was amazing and their recommendations did not miss regarding the octopus, autumn nest, pork cheeks, and codfish. Great selection of wines that complemented the food well. The only knock was being rushed out at the restaurant to make way for the next wave of customers. Not unusual for the US, but unusual for Portugal. Definitely the best meal in Lisbon, though, and I would come back here in a second.

This was a wondeful restaurant. It was busy, which clearly speaks to the popularity of the restaurant but it wasn't overwhelming so it made for a lovely dining experience. The servers were very professional and the food was absolulely delicious. We really enjoyed the black sausage (they provided a lot) and the pork cheeks (yum, yum). I hope we are able to return, this was a great place to have an intimate dinner.

The owner was also the chef and waiter; a passion project, and the results show. Incredible, food, and service, in an intimately sized space. An unequivocal must try for anyone visiting Lisbon looking for the best food they can find. Pricing was also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the product. Easily the most memorable culinary experience during a weeklong trip in Europe, will be talking about this food for a long time.

We wouldn't have found this restaurant without prior research and booking as it's tucked away in the back streets of Lisbon and quite a walk from the front. It was well worth the effort, however. The restaurant is tiny but the food and staff were large in both flavour and service. A great find that we'll recommend to family and friends.

After arriving in Lisbon, me and my family were looking for restaurants close to our hotel that could introduce us to the spirit of Portuguese cuisine. We found this well-reviewed but inconspicuous restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided that Petiscos would be an excellent choice. Turns out we were right! Not only were the small and shareable portions ideal to try a variety of delicious dishes, but the composition and flavors absolutely absolutely astonished us. All the dishes were prepared thoughtfully and with a lot of love (ahem, olive oil) and were unique and flavorful. Our favorites were the octopus and the pork cheeks. Don't skip the bread, even if it costs you a little extra! It's excellent to soak up the leftover juices/oil from the previous dish before you move on to the next one. The bread and even the kombucha at this place are self-made! The owners (or so it seemed) were the ones serving the guests. They were incredibly friendly and attentive. So if you're looking for quality food and a welcoming atmosphere, you should not skip this place!!

Amazing food and fantastic service. This little restaurant every dish was super flavorful and interesting. The staff made us feel like we were the most important customers they’d ever had. We loved it and would happily come back.
