3rd year eating at Prato Borni during our vacation. Simply wonderful. The culinary art is expressed at a 5 star level, The sommelier (Mikaela) is certainly on of the best I have met in 40 years regarding wine & food pairing. The staff ? Simply awesome and friendly. Love this place, you cannot go wrong if you are a foodie spending time in Zermatt.

The setting and atmosphere were very nice, the service very friendly and the proposed menu was delicious, clearly beyond expectations. Every service was a culinary discovery with new and subtle tastes. Congratulations to the chef!

The options for food were not what we were expecting. Having a dairy intolerance made it even more difficult as everything seemed to be made with cream. The staff were very accommodating with the issue but I felt my choices were slim.

A terrible restaurant! I have no idea how it could possibly receive a Michelin one-star rating!
During the meal, flies were flying around and even landed directly on the food. After informing the staff, they said this was a “normal situation,” refused to take any action, and even told me to just accept it.
I immediately paid the bill and left. What an awful, lousy restaurant.

We celebrated my fiancé’s 50th birthday at Prato Borni in Zermatt, and it was unforgettable. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with warmth, introduced to the history of Zermatt and Prato Borni, and personally to the team who cared for us all evening. The service was outstanding — attentive, genuine, and thoughtful — making us feel truly special and pampered. And the food: simply extraordinary. Every dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, among the very best we’ve ever enjoyed. The entire experience was personal, heartfelt, and delivered with true passion. It was a perfect celebration that we will always remember. Our sincere thanks to the whole Prato Borni team for making this milestone so exceptional.

The setting, in one of Zermatt's most prestigious hotels, naturally contributes to the exceptional level of service. And the cuisine more than deserves its Michelin star. Su-bli-me

Many of the courses were delicious but left very disappointed by some which lacked flavour. Mentioned this to the staff at the time

This restaurant, in the heart of Zermatt was just what we needed after some long days of hiking.
The restaurant itself was lovely and quiet and it helped that we were one of the first people there. The wait staff were attentive without being too intrusive and the decor was pleasant.
The food was lovely for the most part although I personally wasn’t a fan of scallops being paired with curry. The dessert was impressive and a real treat. The wine pairing was not always on point but each wine itself was lovely.
I would love to go back and try the other menu options in the future if I had the chance.

Some dishes (Gnocchi, Fish, pre-dessert) were fantastic and others were just okay (Amuse bouche, Cauliflower, Rabbit).

It was a fantastic dining experience. My 4 year old granddaughter was with us. They made special food just for her and put a lovely pillow in her chair to boost her up. They were very attentive to all our needs and the food was glorious.

Amazing experience. My wife and I each had the four course menu; both of us had the Alt Gaottus (Quail egg, corn salad, jerusalem artichoke), the Ziger-Gnocchi (smoked trout, trout roe), and cheese course. I had the Veal Shoulder and she had the filet. Each dish was amazing, especially the gnocchi. Both the food and service are worthy of the Michelin recognition. My only fear is that I may have spoiled my taste palette for all future meals!
