The Caponata appetizer was excellent as was the rest of the meal

The food is decent, but far from remarkable. To give some context, this is the first time in Italy that I have left my pasta unfinished, which says quite a lot. Given the very limited menu, I was expecting a much higher level of culinary quality, but unfortunately the chef does not meet those expectations. The restaurant itself feels outdated, with no visible investment in the interior furniture or overall ambiance. This adds to a general sense of disappointment. The service does its best to compensate for these shortcomings, but it can only go so far. Overall, a disappointing experience.
