We live in Venice, and after visiting museums and exhibitions on Sunday, we decided to have an early dinner at an Oriental restaurant. We chose this place because of the tempting photos of Korean food on the website, the reviews, and the promise of spending about €25 per person. Our suspicions started as soon as we walked in: it looked like a typical tourist trap. Sadly, we were right. The food was of cheap takeaway quality rather than restaurant quality, yet the prices were unjustifiably high. €25 only covers the cheapest dish and a drink; once servizio and coperto are added (in microscopic, unreadable print), the minimum bill becomes €30 — for disposable tablecloths and the cheapest cutlery imaginable. To make matters worse, the 20% discount promised at booking turned into 10% at payment. I wanted to give one star, but gave two because the bartender made a large and very good spritz. That was the only good thing.
