This lovely but unprepossessing restaurant really made our trip to Venice. The food was authentically Italian but highly original in conception and presentation. For instance, the cheesecake was an 'out-of-this-world' confection, and our other dishes delicious. The staff were first rate: friendly, warm, welcoming and unpretentious given its reputation. The wine was excellent. Our first choice of wine was unavailable but the knowledgeable sommelier took the time to find out exactly what we liked in a wine and that wine, and then we had a superb alternative. My wife has not stopped raving about how good it was and the ambience we enjoyed. We ate in excellent restaurants during our visit, all of which we would happily eat at again, but Rosa Rossa stood out significantly above the others as a tremendous all-round experience and great value for money. When we go back to Venice, this will be on our 'definites' list to revisit.

We had a wonderful early dinner here and were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was open at 4:30 pm and able to accommodate our party of six with just 30 minutes’ notice. We ordered the menú degustazione, a tasting menu of 12 small plates selected by the chef. Although it’s designed for two people, they kindly allowed us to share it among the whole group. It could feed 3 people easily. It was superb. Our favorites included the beef carpaccio, veal with tuna sauce, prosciutto, oysters, and pork pluma—though honestly, everything was excellent. My daughter especially loved the onion soup and the bread. One thing to note: The Fork discount applies only to dishes, not to drinks.

The food was divine, so much help in deciding best wines and dishes, waiters etc were extremely lovely and welcoming. Ohhhhh and did I mention, the food was deeeelish. Highly recommend.

Excellent, flavorful food with attentive, friendly service, a comfortable and fitting atmosphere, punctuated by personalised touches, unique dishes, simply a nice feeling of being truly welcomed and valued as a guest, making it more than just a meal but a memorable event. Fresh, well-prepared, unique, and delicious dishes. Beautifully plated food that looks as good as it tastes. Unexpected treats like complimentary miso soup, wasabi butter and bread. An “out of this world” Panettone with zabaione dessert.

Superb food served by enthusiastic staff in a warm relaxing atmosphere. Made a reservation in advance of a visit to Venice and was not disappointed. A trip to Venice is not complete without a meal at Rosa Rossa.

We were sat right in front of an open door, then got a different table after asking nicely. The staff is neutral, very hurried and not quite welcoming but still acceptable. Food and wine were great, small portions (fist-size) though for a 27€ pasta. We booked through the fork app, so we were promised a 30% discount, then the waiter “forgot” to apply it, then took 15% off upon reminding him of it. Overall - cozy place with tasty cuisine but be aware of the downsides.

Best meal and service we’ve had in Italy. Great atmosphere for couples/dates- we actually had our two children and sat outside and they accommodated our family so well. The wine, mullet carpaccio, and lasagna special were the highlights but every bit of the meal was amazing. Children said the noodles were the best in the world - and they’ve sampled a LOT of noodles in their combined 8 years of experience. Our server was fantastic- great recommendations, friendly, knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!

We have visited this restaurant three times during our stay in Venice and it has never let us down. The ambience is perfect with music just at the right level and dated to my taste! The staff were friendly, efficient and had just the right amount of familiarity to make us feel comfortable. My husband is a very fussy eater but was eager to return a second and third time after having their lasagna. We highly recommend this restaurant for both its food and staff - a real gem.
