Average. Not great for Florence.

I will note that I dined here on Easter lunch so maybe things were a little crazy. I showed up 30 min early and when greeted the maitre ‘d said he couldn’t find my reservation (made on The Fork) but that I could have a table for an hour. Imagine if I arrived on time? After I finished my antipasto and primi my plates were quickly taken away before I could ‘scarpetta.’ I turned to read the menu board to order my secondo, when the maitre ‘d stressed that he had another party coming in 20 min that needed the table but that I could change tables sit outside or in the back room in the corner to finish my meal, mentioning again. At this time he again said he couldn’t find my reservation, which I then showed him on The Fork but he didn’t seem to care. He tried to make it seem like he was doing me a favor and making space for me as if I just showed up when I really made a reservation a month in advance. Food was fine, maybe a little cold but hard to enjoy when one doesn’t feel welcomed.

The wait staff here is incredibly kind, and the ambiance inside is great. We were thrilled to try this place for a special Easter meal after mass, thanks to a friend who knows Firenze well. My wife’s ragu was decent, but we could have made it better at home. The fried lamb chops were dry and tasteless. Perhaps we got the last of them with a later lunch reservation, as others around us had four or five big chops. I only got two tiny chops and some other overcooked piece of bone, possibly the breast plate. I don’t know for sure, but I certainly didn’t get much meat out of them. It seemed like the restaurant catered more to locals than to tourists. We had a reservation and arrived 15 minutes early, but we were informed by the manager that the only available table was outside. The outdoor seating was noisy, with a few tables overlooking a construction site. I suggest leaving this place for the locals. There are many other great dining experiences in this beautiful city.

Beautiful Little gem in the heart of Florence, food is genuine and spectacular and service kind and very welcoming. Everything we ate was really exceptional and we will definitely come back any time we’ll be visiting Florence. Highly recommend!

If I would live in Florence, this would be my regular's restaurant. The food is absolutely outstanding - traditional Tuscan. And the service familiar and cozy - like sitting in your best friend's home.

Fabulous lunch at this restaurant. We got a recommendation from the son of the owner at Cellini Gold Shop at Piazza Santa Croce who eats here for lunch nearly every day. Amazing food. Good service despite the crowds.

Delicious food and friendly service. We will go back tonight. It isn’t easy to find a good restaurant in Florence with so many mediocre places. This is the real thing.

Possibly the best meal we had when we were in Florence. Genuine, and very tasty. Don't be put off by the long menu. I know it can be a warning sign but not here. We would have booked for dinner too if we hadn't already got plans. When we go back to Florence this place is top of the list.

Terrible service all around. Even with a reservation. Entire service took 30 minutes. They wanted us out. Place does not like American tourists. No matter how pleasant you try to be. Even had conversations with the "regulars " sitting next to us about "Turistes". Food was so so at best. Don't bother.

Waiter forgot to bring requested water after being asked twice. Forgot to enter one person’s second course so it never came out. He was nice to provide a pasta dish free of charge to the person as a consolation meal, but then the person had two pasta dishes. Baby goat pasta I ordered was extremely under seasoned. Dishes came out at varying times.

Food was good. White Wine was room temperature. Salad was delicious as was Raviolis.

The food was outstanding. - not the traditional tourist menu items but more traditional Tuscan . I had the lamb which was roasted impeccably . The chicken liver pate appetizer was perfect , as were the house made potato chips . The prices were very reasonable for the high level of the food .

Wonderful service, accommodating of food allergies, and incredible food. Was off the tourist path, quiet, and authentic feeling and fair prices. Would highly recommend!
