Staff were very helpful with both wine and food recommendations. Food was very good. I had ravioli with a pistachio sauce. Not something that I would normally choose but I really liked it. My husband has braciole which was prepared very different than what his Italian grandmother would make. The meat was a flat steak, fried then topped with a red tomato sauce served with potatoes that they called chips. Both were excellent! As far as the atmosphere, it was a bright space with the doors open to the outside seating so you felt as though you were outside as well. It was a pretty busy place and tables were placed very close to one another. That made the space feel a little cramped.

The risotto was world class. Rice cooked perfectly. Mushrooms and truffles were amazing. We also enjoyed the local chiana beef served over a bed of arugula with a drizzle of aged balsamic. Cooked perfectly and the beef was very tender. The hostess was marvelous and her team worked incredibly well together as the restaurant is super busy. Our waiter was flat and had no personality even walking unaided to smoke a cigarette in the front of the piazza. He was clearly bored and took zero interest in us as guests.

Phenomenal food, you know it’s good when it’s a locals favourite spot! Service was amazing! So glad we booked here versus the touristic spots near the duomo.
