The food was exceptional. The menu was a bit limited as it was for Natale. Tuna crudo was truly amazing. The lighly fried cod was delicious. Very kind service.

Amazing food, great service and very warm atmosphere. We had a great experience on Christmas Day. The desserts could be better, we mostly liked the ganache.

+2Il Cantuccio is a lovely little gem of a place. The food was excellent and service was attentive! We had the "tasting menu" and loved it! They were out of the Brunello (wine) that we ordered but offered a Barolo, which we had never tried before, and it was amazing! We'll be drinking Barolo again! We definitely would eat here again!

In a city full of meats and pasta, Il Cantuccio is a breath of fresh air. The owner cheerfully works the entire (smallish) room with cheer and grace. I recommend ordering the fixed menu seafood sampler- it is fantastic. For us, this was the best restaurant in Bologna during our time there.

Nice place, excellent fish and delicious side salad. The service was correct but not very enthusiastic/engaged while there were on 4 table booked.

There is no sense to put the sauce on fish if it’s full of bones.

First rate fish and seafood. Full on our Tuesday night visit, so great ambience, but slightly slow service (which didn’t worry us). Highly recommended.

Really lovely, and very patient with our terrible Italian. The food was brilliant and the service was great. Would definitely go back again when we’re in Bologna.

This is a rare seafood restaurant in Bologna. We went with two elderly Italian friends. While the food and wine were of decent quality, we were shocked by the service. The wait staff ignored us for long periods. We were seated in a cramped and uncomfortable table. The staff seemed mostly to concentrate on a few tables. Our friends who are 80 + were quite offended. We won't be going back again soon.
