The service was very good and the restaurant was tastefully decorated, the menu was large and varied and we enjoyed our food and wine which was also reasonably priced, we did have to ask for the fork discount we had booked so check your bill

At first glance, the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere with fast and polite service. However, the food was disappointing. We ordered truffle dishes—carpaccio, pasta, and steak. The truffle had absolutely no aroma or flavor, merely garnished on top with a few drops of truffle oil, which suggests either improper storage or low-quality truffles. The meat was burnt and bitter. To be fair, the waiter offered to replace the dish, and after we declined, they did not include it in the bill. I won’t be coming back and believe that Florence has far more delicious places to dine.

We had such a relaxed easy evening meal at La Doce Vita, we particularly booked there because we had found online it was brilliant for lasagne and that was completely true. My partner and I are dans of lasagne but haven’t had it in Italy before, just as delicious as we hoped. The staff were lovely and helpful and as a little bonus as a Fellini movies fan myself the touches of La Dolce Vita around the place were lovely. The red wine we had was lovely too. Very lovely place to eat

The food was delicious and our waiter was friendly and helpful. It is a very pretty restaurant too but there are only has a few tables which are all close together. It was hard to talk with others so close and a group behind us. There were a lot of waiting staff constantly walking backwards and forwards and going out the front door which made it rather chilly and far from relaxing. We had a starter and a main course and were in and out in 45 mins. The table next to us just came for desserts and it didn't really feel like a night out. Such a shame in view of all the positives.

Despite having made a reservation for 13.00hs, our table wasn’t ready until over 40 minutes later. Food wasn’t all that great either, Pici alla carbonara sauce was curdled. Place was cute but drafty.
