Enjoyed. Yes. Steak. Amazing. Ambiance. But too bright for my liking. Service. A little stern but efficient. Go back. Maybe.

Traditional, tasty dishes in a trattoria that stands there for ages! Efficient and fast service. Overall, a unique experience.

Excellent Tuscan cuisine. Superb service.

A trattoria that is stuck in its former glory. Staff are old school. Service is curt but due to the number of tourists booking, the staff do try to make conversation. Communal table seating which made for a convival ambience. The food was ok, try the bistecca and the rabbit. The vegetables were overcooked (our neighbour's were too) and the pasta dishes were nothing to write home about. Upon asking for the bill, the waiter reminded us that service tips was not included in the €3/pax cover charge. If you like old trattoria decor, book a table. If you want good Italian food, book elsewhere.

This is our second time visiting and not only is the food superb, the staff and experience make the whole experience complete. They even invited our 10-year old son to come into the kitchen to watch our steak Florentine being made. Once again, our expectations were exceeded and we’ll come back every time we’re in Florence visiting.

Server and food
4.0
The food was mediocre to put it nicely. Service was really bad. Obviously the staff wanted to go home as early as possible and didn’t put any effort in hiding that.

We were very excited, since the place seemed so authentic. Unfortunately the portions were tiny, the food was cold and the potatoes came long after the meat. It did taste ok, but it was way to expensive for what was offered. Never again!

What a charming little place tucked in a most inconspicuous alley. Visiting Coco Lezzone is like visiting the home of an Italian relative. Rustic and the most delicious food, community seating and the most pleasant host. We loved our experience.

The establishment was bright, comfortable and welcoming. The staff was super friendly. Our waiter was wonderful and gave us great recommendations. The food was like my nonna was un the kitchen cooking.

Very warm service. The restaurant was filled with local people enjoying their favorite place and many of them gave us advice on food. Our server/ maybe owner/longtime employee calmly waited on all tables in the room. Overall, a very warm feeling with simple delicious food. Love the ambience!

Authentic. Family. Grappa upon grappa at the end.

Our group of 8 was sent here by our cab driver, and he said it was THE place to eat in Florence. European reviews were great! We knew we had found the place for us! The steaks, OMG, and this from one who never eats meat!

I love this restaurant and wanted my daughter to experience it. I still love it. One thing to keep on mind is that they only offer seasonal items. Everything listed on the menu is not necessarily available. So, the night we went they didn’t have any good options for my daughter who doesn’t eat meat. Even the pasta choices-the sauces all had meat. There were a few choices she could have gone with but there was nothing she really “liked”. So, if you are with a non meat eater, maybe try something else. Otherwise, it’s amazing and I’d definitely go back-just without her.

Small place in a back street, had to search for it, very unpretentious, all sit together on large tables. There is a menu, but not everything is available every day. Advisable to book, as it’s a popular place. We had ribollita, and good pasta ragu to start, then roasted baby pig, and large meatballs with roasted potatoes as a second course, creme caramel with berry sauce, and some good red wine! Quick efficient service, good selection of wine. Leo di Caprio ate here recently, and his photo is on the wall, along with other celebrities! A good hearty lunch, with no frills!
