This place had a beautiful ambiance. 8 of us sat in the main room which was rustic with a bookcase,and a fire place. The table settings were elegant. The wine and food suggestions were appreciated. They are known for their potato gnocchi. The florentine steak was perfecto! The owner talked with us and was very friendly.

We really enjoyed our lunch at the Rossellino. The food was great, our host was very welcoming and the wine pairings he recommended to go with our food were really nice. What more could you ask for?

Service was perfunctory at best. Wee were told that the table we wanted was reserved but when next party came in they were offered choice if that table or one elsewhere. They were given bread, none to our table. The food was adequatel.

Our family had a wonderful dinner. We elected to have the owner choose a variety of dishes for each course. He explained every dish and paired them with wines. The cheese flower with aged balsamic vinegar was amazing and beautiful! We shared everything and then had a great time debating favorites. Because each dish was so delicious, we had a hard time choosing the best. The gnocchi was amazingly light. The duck with orange was my favorite. My husband loved the Florentine beef. The staff was charming and we were impressed with the attention and care. We felt so welcome and enjoyed every minute.

Seriously good food carefully prepared from a simple menu: a blazing open fire in winter: a wine list to write home about. Rossellino is frequented more by locals than by tourists. It offers first-rate dishes with no frills.
