The food was ok, not bad. The restaurant itself might be nice, but we were put somewhere in an hidden courtyard at a plastic garden table, not a pleasant place to be. The service wasn't good: we got no glasses for our water. The wine might be a good one but was served too hot.

Don’t forget that adding truffle to the pasta costs an extra €10! I only realized it when I saw the bill. The pasta itself was just average. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Also, if you book through The Fork, they insist that you leave a 5-star review on Google Maps. It didn’t seem mandatory to me, but at the counter, they said it was required.

The quaint, rustic ambiance of this local trattoria right next to Pitti Palace makes it an ideal place to stop in before or after your visit. The staff is welcoming and the food is fresh and tasty. We enjoyed a delightful lunch.

My original thought was "MEH". The food was average. The waiters were not particularly friendly or personable. Efficient is not the same thing as welcoming. Hot day . . . maybe they were tired. But of all the places that I have eaten in Florence this was by far the least good experience (pardon grammar). I would suggest you PASS.
