The service was excellent! We were a large party from the US with lots of questions and the waitstaff was very patient and informative. The food was delicious! Most of us had the fish of the day, however, everyone loved their meal.

We were warned that we had two-hours to finish our meal when we sat down at 7pm but the restaurant was not busy when we left 90 minutes later. We also got the impression we were expected to order a cocktail to start because that was the only menu that was given to us so we had to ask for the food and wine menus. The main server lady didn't seem to like her job or customers. The starters (great olives, tasty chicken, and interesting lasagne bite) were good. But my breaded veal escalope was completely without flavour which isn't surprising as the meat was flattened to a few mm with a thick covering of breadcrumbs so it appeared huge but most of it was breading. When the bill came, the card machine was pre-programmed with a 20% tip which is highly unusual in Lisbon which is not in America. The total for two of us including one bottle of Alentejo wine came to €175. We live around the corner and won't be back preferring the honest food and prices of Rubro next door.
