10/10A quiet, calm, pretty restaurant just off the via Veneto. A wide selection of excellently prepared dishes. A good wine list. Charming, personal, yet formal service. What more could one ask for?

7/10This is a nice looking mid-level place. Everything is done well, nothing is brilliant. The appearance and setting are comforting--it has an old-fashioned feel, and I mean that in a good way. It feels like a step up. The food is nothing special, but always correct. Nothing objectionable or distinguished, in short. A bit pricey for the food quality, the overall check is probably ok in terms of value considering that it has an upscale look and good service. On the whole, nothing really stands out in its great location. I wouldn't mind going back, but I'd sure hunt around and try to find better places first.

10/10Faultless. The place was very busy but the service and the food were tremendous. We will go back if/when in Rome again.

9.5/10This is our third time at this restaurant, and it’s better every time. I tell everyone I know in the US to come here, and since I write restaurant reviews, that says something. I wouldn’t want to ruin my reputation by recommending a bad restaurant! The one flaw is that sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but it’s Roma! Go with the flow and enjoy a delicious meal. Also, the tiramisu is to die for. DO save room for it!

3/10This was our final night in Rome and were hoping for a special meal - BUT no ambience or atmosphere at all and the food was worse! Menu was limited and overpriced for the quality of the food- unimaginative menu and food to match. Didn’t have a dessert as nothing appealed , and to top it all the waiter tried to overcharge us - when I questioned the bill the response was defensive and unapologetic- very disappointing night! Hopeless!

8/10Peppone came recommended to us from a friend. I am glad we made reservations through the Fork as it was very busy. Food was exceptional EXCEPT we ordered 2 lasagnas for a 11 and 14 year old and they forgot them. It was our first night in Rome and we had traveled over 9 hours via plane. When we asked about when the lasagna might be ready they just kept telling us soon. We saw two other tables get lasagna before us and after about 1.5 hours they finally brought them. Unfortunately everyone was finished with their food and the lasagna was frozen inside. Everyone else had a good meal but they made no apologies. Every place we ate in Italy over a week was exceptional but this restaurant we did not feel welcomed in the end.

9.5/10Delicious pasta. We loved spaghetti cacio e pepe and tagliolini with artichokes and mint. Server very hot, cooked correctly. With separate grated cheeses for each. Also a delicious starter of Roman artichokes which the restaurant had nicely split onto 2 plates as we were sharing. Good atmosphere and we loved our table in the corner.

10/10We had a wonderful time. Our waitress was attentive and sweet to the Americans that don’t speak Italian. They had the most amazing buffalo mozzarella. So fresh. My daughter had the filet and it was done perfectly. I had the Carbonara. Very good. We were too full for dessert but they brought us some cookies that were perfect.

8/10The food was lovely (could not be faulted) and the quality of service from our waitress was very good. The other staff made a great fuss of other tables (who I guess were locals and well known), making us feel a little out of place but that wasn't an issue. The recommended wine was nice and reasonably priced. The millefoglie alla zabaglione was fabulous! We had a great evening. Unfortunately when our bill arrived the discount had been missed, and there was a 15% service charge which we had been unaware of. It got rectified but it rather took the edge off an otherwise delightful experience. .
