Terrific food! We got bass, fettuccine bolognese and spaghetti. Their home-made limoncello is very smooth and flavored. Pleasant and a very personal service. We decided to go their the second time during our week-long stay and it was also great. Out of 12-15 restaurants we visited in March 2026, it was the best. Highly recommend! And by the way, we have been in Taverna Agape in 2025 and were really excited with food and service.

The service was absolutely horrible. A few years ago I went to Taverna Agape and experienced wonderful service and food. Upon visiting Rome again, we made it a point to go to Taverna Agape, and have been extremely let down. The servers were extremely dismissive and rude, and absolutely preyed upon us as Americans. At the end of the night the server specifically asked if we wanted to leave a tip, and made the whole situation extremely awkward. Unsure if they are under new ownership, but the service here is a complete turnaround from when I first went in 2022.

We had a completely wonderful and delicious dinner at Taverna Agape. Our server recommended the fresh caught Sea Bass, which was grilled as our main. We also started with a spinach ravioli which was also next level delicious. Perfect suggestions and a memorable meal with an attentive and friendly staff.

We arrived at Taverna Agape and we were greeted by a lovely host. The service was excellent and everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Our only complaint was the actual meal. I ordered a pumpkin risotto and an artichoke starter..The waiter then informed me that both of my choices were no longer available. I then chose a spinach and ricotta ravioli and my husband has the lamb. We also ordered a green salad with pears, goat cheese and walnuts. The salad was lovely and we both enjoyed it. When our main courses arrived we were quite disappointed. My ravioli was very average to say the least and my husbands lamb was very fatty leaving him with little actual meat to enjoy. We enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant, it's lovely and attentive staff, but the quality of food was not what we expected.

The food was good, but the server took advantage of a language barrier to “sell” us a 120€ half bottle of wine which we understood to be a house wine under 20€. It made no sense that we would be getting a 120€ wine when I asked about an house wine and they should have confirmed with a menu or writing it down. It felt predatory. The manager did reduce the check after it was explained what happened. It was disappointing. Be aware cautious

Wait staff did not have a clue. My wife's fish was outstanding. My Risotto was just ok. Waiters were from Bangladesh. Pleasant, but did not understand what was going on. I asked for our check at least 5 times over a 1/2 hour. If it had not come after the last time I asked I was going to leave without paying.

We were seated for one hour before we got our pasta entrees. Groups came in after us and were served before us. When we got the food, it was cold. A couple beside us had the same entree and you could see the heat coming off of it when they were served. We had to ask for our check from three different servers. The owner did apologize and give us a free dessert and extra limoncello and was nice but the experience was a disappointment.
