This was our second time visiting Lisbon in the last year and our second time eating at Visconti Chiado. It topped our list of restaurants to go to again. The food is absolutely fantastic and the service is impeccable. HIGHLY recommend!

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants, but for the last couple of years, it just seems to miss on various levels. I go and try it every 12 months or so to see if it has returned to its original glory. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it’s still lacking. I will say that the I did really enjoy the pepperoni pizza but the arancini felt mass produced, they were also only cheese not ragu and cheese as the menu read. The ragu pasta was ok but certainly not amazing. It’s such a shame, I really want it to be great again!

The meal was good. Nice place. A little brightly lit but cute place. I had the mushroom ravioli entree and caprese salad appetizer. The issue was it took 1 hour to receive both. They came out at the same time. I arrived for an 8pm reservation at 7:58. Was seated immediately and offered a drink within the first 5 mins, I ordered my food at the time my drinks were ordered. My food arrived at 9pm. At no point did my server check on me. You don’t get a bread basket at Portuguese restaurants unless you order for a price. Nothing to hold you over until food arrives. He brought my food over without explanation as to why I had to wait to receive my appetizer at the same time as my entree. He dropped it off & walked off. Another, more active server came over & apologized for the delay. The table next to me waited for about the same time for their meals & got free drinks for the wait. It was clear the kitchen was short staffed. The server should communicate better.
