We had booked, but the people working there didn’t seem interested in that. We were asked to pick a table, which we did, then had to ask for the menus twice. It took 10-15 minutes just to get the menu. We ordered polenta con salsiccia. We know this to be a traditional, hearty and simple dish, however it tasted simply like passata with the odd, tiny lump of what I guess must have been sausage. It tasted like tinned tomatoes on polenta, nothing more I’m afraid. I didn’t get The Fork discount, and the bill seems high for what we had. I was waved away and told ‘don’t worry, it’s fine’. It’s seems incredulous that this establishment could have notched up an 8.5 rating

Dear customer, You happened to be here on the day of the rugby match, when the restaurant was completely packed. The discount was applied, but as you should know, it doesn't apply to the daily menu. All your fellow countrymen complimented our chef; some came for both lunch and dinner. We're sorry to read a comment like that on The Fork. When it would have been enough to mention it at the right time, I assure you, our 8.5 is fully deserved for the commitment and love we put into our work. Have a safe trip home!!!

We went after the Italy v Ireland match. Very convenient twenty minutes from the stadium. Lovely, friendly staff, great service, and the food was classic Italian - simple dishes with high quality ingredients and perfectly prepared and cooked. The Tiramisu was out of this world! Loved it!
