3/10I went to baia restaurant, we were 15 minutes after our booking time and were reprimanded at the door before we even had a greeting. We were then shown to our table and on asking a few things about the menu, both the wine list and the food menu, we were given very short, uninformative and actually barring on ride answers. For example under the meat dishes there is a dish with ossobucco meat and when asking what this was our waiter responded “it’s meat” There were a few experiences like this. We asked to share a fish dish and then a meat dish. We ordered the grouper which in all honesty was dry and tasteless and the dauphinois potato’s were even worse. They tasted like they had been made a week ago and reheated many times. The meat dish was better but not amazing. When we asked for the bill we didn’t receive it and in the end we went up to the bar as we had waited long enough. I would not return which is a shame as it’s a nice location and I receive a lot of guests here in Cascais.

10/10The food is amazing, and the staff is so kind and thoughtful, giving recommendations, explaining everything in detail. A special thanks to Sofia, who is the nicest waitress.

10/10My wife and I had a lovely dinner here in the Christmas season. We had a table that overlooks some gorgeous Cascais Christmas decorations. We both had lovely set of entrees ossobuco done perfectly and duck accompanied with seasonal chestnuts. A lovely evening

6.5/10We had lunch there and the location is beautiful, set a few steps from the water. The restaurant itself seemed to not be very organized. Our waitress must have been new as she didn't know about the menu or cocktails. Our cocktails took a rather long time to arrive once we ordered. The seafood on the seafood salads was not very good - the langostino was tough & the shrimp was mushy. We also had risotto which was very tasty & I would recommend that. We liked the ambiance - sitting outside was lovely.

Right in the center of Cascais with a view of the beach and the ocean Baia serves mainly Portuguese cuisine but doesn't have as much variety of seafood as other restaurants in the area. The octopus portion was very generous yet a bit too oily for my taste. The service was fast and efficient and with a smile. A good option for a lunch with a view.

Strange that they don’t have a wine list and I wasn’t given a choice when I asked for my first glass of red. Only when I ask for the second glass then I was given a choice but still only 2 to choose from. Food was good but my started, goat cheese with vermicelli, was not easy to eat and the sweet potato mash with my lamb was very wet. Over all it was still very enjoyable.
