I visited Lyon for the first time. Since the city was presented online as a gastronomic destination in France, I wanted to try the typical dishes of the region in one of the bouchons lyonnais. We chose Le Casse Museau because of the pictures of inviting dishes online, the rustic, homely decor of the restaurant, and online reviews about the pleasant, hospitable service. It was a positive experience with food that was different from what I am used to. The surprise at the beginning was the cracklings, which we never serve as a welcome in my country. We had a good laugh. If I ever go back to Lyon, I will return to this small, cozy restaurant.

Went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed at all. We wanted an authentic bouchon experience in Lyon and this place is a true gem. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. The ambience mimics a cozy home and everything is set up to make you feel at home.

The ambiance was excellent. The owner and his son provided excellent service. The world’s smallest kitchen provided outstanding food. A tremendous first experience in a bouchon.

The room was very loud and the waiters were rushing back and forth. They just dropped off our order, and didn’t even speak to us. My husband speaks French.

Aunt Paulette's chicken with garlic and gratin dauphinois - the signature dish - it really is outstanding. I dined twice at this restaurant during my stay in Lyon and ordered the chicken dish on both occasions. For travelers a bit unsure about the traditional bouchons dishes that Lyon has to offer, this restaurant's signature chicken dish is a good bet. Staff were lovely, very receptive and hospitable. The chef would peep out often from the kitchen to check diners were happy, obviously there is genuine care here from the team. Much appreciated.

A Lyonnaise bouchon serving classic and honest dishes. As tourists we were seated with the other tourists at the entrance and toilets. But hey, someone has to fill those seats. The service was otherwise very charming and we had a good experience.

Au contraire, nous plaçons les personnes au fur et à mesure de votre arrivée. Effectivement quand vous arrivez à 19h vous êtes placé en bas et au fur et à mesure nous compétons les places sauf demande express de votre part d’être premier étage, chose que nous faisons à partir de 19 heures sans aucun problème.
