Rainy Paris nights call for comfort—and we found ours again at the neighborhood favorite, Lorette on Rue Saint-Lazare. Warmly welcomed by Vincent, we settled in for a rich boeuf bourguignon that felt like a hug in a bowl, followed (of course) by their legendary profiteroles. By the time we lingered over the last bites, the room had come alive—buzzing, glowing, and reminding us why we keep coming back.

The restaurant itself is beautiful. It looks like a proper Parisian Café with a beautiful red interior ,ambient lighting, & white cloth tablecloths. The menu was standard fare as we expected, and the pricing was fair. That said , our waiter was completely disinterested in us. Attended to patrons who were seated after us. Gave us virtually no attention beyond what would’ve been required. Provided our party of four with only three pieces of bread and when asked for some butter brought us one butter patty for the whole table. The wine pour was short( IMO) , Our steaks were cooked incorrectly, the french fries were dry, the leek appetizer was inadequately described and presented. The table itself was cramped, even by Parisian standards. The coat rack was inconvenient., and as previously stated, the waiter could not be bothered by us to give us a standard of care we expected. We were disappointed.

Bit of a disaster really. Nothing to do with the restaurant. Apparently they have been having issues with The Fork website and despite our confirmation and second confirmation via the website they were not expecting us. We were left standing in the middle of the restaurant while they tried to fit us in. Eventually got a table but they said only for one hour owing to other bookings. Then after starter we were asked to move tables so that we didn’t have to rush after all as they had had a cancellation. Was extremely cold in Paris on 02/12 and we had to keep our coats on as also cold in the restaurant. Lightning was very bright with little candles only on some tables. All this said, would definitely try again but would book direct.

The current menu is very limited. Specials of the day usually make selections more interesting. Tonight at the opening, they were already out of one of the specials. Our dishes were vey plain and bland. We’ve dined there on other occasions and had better experiences so this must have been an off night.

We stay in this neighborhood each year and feel fortunate to have Lorette just a short walk away. It’s a small, bright place that serves delicious food at reasonable prices. The daily specials add variety to the standard menu. Look for classic dishes like bouef bourguignon, sausage purée and roast chicken or choose one of their specials. We tried 2 of the specials, navarin of lamb with baby vegetables and roast veal with prunes: both were winners. The famous protiferoles are an easy choice for dessert. The wine list has good selections too. Mostly French diners and that’s always a good sign.

Charming and delicious! Service in both french and english, excellent food with lots of choices, small intimate space that is clean and well-decorated. Thank you for helping with my allergies to gluten and dairy.

A bistro style restaurant in a nice neighbourhood. Comfortable seats, tables next to eachother. Menu is not extended but selection of meat and fish large enough to have a good choice. Classic french desserts (profiteroles with warm chocolate sauce!) . Good wine selection with quote some wines by the glass. Nice and friendly people to serve your dinner!

This is a reliable restaurant in our neighborhood. We especially like it when their plats du jour are appealing since they add variety to the menu. The wait staff is not very knowledgeable about their wines. Service tends to be good at first but they are understaffed to handle a full restaurant. They have almost doubled their capacity by adding outdoor tables so the servers are very busy.

One of the nicest French restaurants in the neighbourhood. The garçons are the best!

A lovely restaurant. Appeared to be frequented by locals and despite us being the only tourist they were very helpful, had great service and even made up a special dish for my 7 year old daughter to accommodate her. A great change from the more touristy places we’ve found ourselves in!

We were in a hurry to get to the theater, all that we had was very good. They told us what would take time. They were correct but not over friendly. All in all, it was a good experience.

We loved the simplicity of the food and the restaurant, just good food done perfectly. An excellent place to visit in Paris, and one we will want to come back to again.

Helpful staff, they greeted me warmly at the door. Unfortunately I do not speak French so they helped me with the menu and I thought that was great! I only know polite French. Great restaurant give it a try

:My wife and I have been using The Fork to help in our selection of restaurants in Paris. We generally look for 4.5 ratings or better. We have not been disappointed until we dined at Loretta et les Garçon. The service and atmosphere was fine but our mains were sub par. My wife had the dinner special - rum steak with frites. The steak was prepared well but the cut was tuff. I had the lamb chops. I found them very fatty and they were served on a bed of sweet potatoes. The potatoes were fine but there were no other vegetables on the plate to enhance the meal.
