Hi Bill, we're sorry to read this because in the two years we've been serving Chianina steak, we've only received negative feedback twice, including once from you. If a customer isn't happy with something, we'd appreciate it if you let us know during the meal so we can rectify it if possible.

I had a wonderful time at Lungarno 23. From the moment my ride dropped me off at the front door, the evening was off to a great start! Pietro greeted us warmly, promptly seated us, and ensured we were comfortable in the warm outside air. Two fans were expertly positioned to keep us cool, which was greatly appreciated. Pietro took exceptional care of us throughout the meal. We enjoyed two delicious main courses and a decadent dessert, and he even surprised us with an aperitif – a lovely touch! I highly recommend Lungarno 23 for a great dinner near the Arno River.

If you want a wonderful meal in a great setting come here! Viola made this solo traveler feel very welcome, which is not always the case. The food was very high quality and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be back for a meal of high quality beef.

Excellent service. Thank you Viola 🫶🏻 The restaurant is very cozy you can sit inside or outside. The food was average, I would recommend to give it a try because they are specialized in meat/ hamburgers with a lot of options which we of course weren’t able to try all. The staff is fantastic I’m sure they can help with making the right choice. Enjoy.

We had reservations at 8:00 pm and didn't get finished until 11:00. The service was very slow. Even when we finished, I had to go find our waiter to get the check. Food was good, however. If you have plenty of time to spare.

Lovely evening out on the terrace next to the Arno. Good selection of tasty food and wines at reasonable prices. Attentive waitress Viola with good recommendations and pleasant small talk. Will stay on the list!

Attentive service, nice food, good wine list, will go again. The waiter was good. We asked for his name but all waiters seemed excellent. Music of 70-80s a bit loud making the outside restaurant a bit noisey. When music went on repeat we left, so timed it well. They even do up market hamburgers.

Ate here on our first night in Florence to early celebrate my 40th with my husband. Such a lovely spot by the river, lovely reasonable food and nice chilled service. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful last meal for us in Florence!! Pietro was very attentive and great service! Food was outstanding- we had the Chianina tasting which was superb and so reasonable priced!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!

We had a great meal at Lungarno 23. The atmosphere was perfect and our waiter Pietro was fantastic. We messed up our drink order and he fixed it with a smile. We highly recommend (especially the pasta!).

Our Arno riverboat tour guide recommended Lungarno 23 and told us the owner is a friend. We didn't have dinner plans so instead of winging it we found an open reservation nd booked it. We were greeted promptly sand given. choice of seating. We chose to sit outside on the terrace. It was a lovely night. The proprietor stopped by the table to greet us and we made small talk about having similar cameras. The server was prompt, professional, courteous, and attentive. We both selected the prix fixe option and couldn't have been more delighted. The food was presented well and was very tasty; the wine selection was generous and exceptional. It was the best wine of the trip, and that included the Chianti wine tour we had later on our trip. Very happy to have been introduced to this spot. Would go back again and recommend it to others who are visiting Florence!

Second night in a row we had diner here and amazing again. This time we had the tasting menu, highly recommended! Tonight was very busy, they seemed to be a bit understaffed, so I didn’t really understand why tonight’s manager kept accepting new guests (without booking). Sometimes less tables but more attention (and selling, especially drinks!) can lead to more profit :-)
