10/10We have a couple of favourite restaurants in Firenze but wanted to broaden our horizons. We liked the reviews of Osteria Cipolla Rossa which we found online and thought that we would try it. I am sure glad we did. The food was excellent, pure Tuscany. Something funny happened that actually added to my experience. For my appetiser, I wanted to order the classic fegatini (chicken liver) crostini but I mistakenly didn't specify which crostini. When my crostini arrived, I realized that the topping was not chicken liver but tripe (and i usually don't like tripe). It was my mistake so I didn't make a fuss, I ate what came, and I have to say, i am grateful for my mistake because though I like Osteria Cipolla Rossa for a variety of reasons, I would return the next time I am back in Florence and order the tripe crostini on purpose. They were absolutely delicious. And so was everything else we had, And that extra glass of Bolghieri red I had was divine!

10/10This is our new favorite restaurant in Florence. The food was great and the atmosphere casual. The best, though, was the staff and service. Not far from the Duomo complex, but far enough to get away from the hordes. Don’t miss it.
