The food quality was good. The chairs were lower than usual in restaurants therefore not so convenient for small-medium sized people. The service was OK. The couple at our next table was offered a shot of lemon at the end of their dinner (they didn’t order desert) while we ordered desert (a tiramisu) but we’re not offered limoncello at the end.

Great restaurant with broad choice of Italian dishes from antipasti (starters) to pizza and pasta. I really recommend any past from oven or gorgonzola pizza, from starters I recommend bread or carpaccio. If you wish you can also enjoy good selection of desserts accompanied by limoncello or sgroppino. Children will be also happy with dishes and desserts dedicated for them. Service is very helpful and quick. You can it inside (ground level or basement) as well as outside if weather permits (there are heaters outside to warm you up while enjoying the restaurant). I advise you to make a booking upfront as it is busy area. The restaurant is located in vivid city center, close to Leidseplein. With good access from trams or bikes (with underground bike parking under Leidseplein). For many years I'm visiting the restaurant often. I really recommend it. It is worth to taste their pizza while being in Amsterdam center, alone or with family. Always good. See you there and "eet smakelijk".

Drinks were good, but pizza was undercooked, lasagna was like soup and spaghetti was mediocre. Overall disappointing.

the famous calzone was too heavy with veg and a very heavy meat sauce. not what one would expect in Italy

The restaurant is super cozy and cute inside and the staff very nice. We were a little bummed about the pizza. We had the mozzarella, the veggie and the pepperoni. All three lacked flavor we were hoping for in a homemade family recipe of fifty years! It wasn’t bad pizza but we weren’t blown away. Nice location though for people traveling to visit.

Nice pizzas, cozy atmosphere and friendly service! Living in Amsterdam for 7 years this was just a great and surprising discovery in town.

Food was great & service was okay, but they had loud dance music on at 5pm, which wasn't the best for the ambience.

We had an excellent meal at Piccolino. The staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. The food was perfectly cooked and so tasty. Would highly recommend.
