Returning with a skeptical husband & two international wine & food enthusiasts for my birthday dinner proved most successful overall , thank heavens. Chef Ivan ably maintained his superb savory courses that I’d enjoyed so much previously ..but alas he just slightly dipped with the dolce course regrettably not as stunning .. & sadly the watery ‘ice cream’ a total fail. Small quibbles maybe , but disappointing nonetheless. The gracious ambiance of the sophisticated dining room is somewhat disappointingly realised to be as good as it is when a visit to the dated & overlit toilet is made .. it clean & there’s everything one needs (& it’s provided thoughtfully …), but it’s a bit of a let down when otherwise a fantastic toilet visit can be a very positive experience & a satisfying sensory experience - which I’d have thought was what Testina would be aiming for. I’ll certainly be back for Chef’s dazzling cooking, & I’m hoping to find a singularly worthwhile experience next toilet time also!

From the unexpectedly helpful pre-arrival contact from the Chef-owner Ivan, & throughout the evening's utterly delightful fish-only dining experience, here is to be found a uniquely presented & dazzlingly achieved contemporary hospitality Ristorante that punches way above it's position in a city not so well-known for such excellence -- & at a most reasonable asking price. I loved the quiet & comfortable environment, relished the responsively efficient table service & the interaction of the chef himself presenting the successive courses of his beautifully achieved kitchen work. And I appreciated being so readily accommodated with my preferring wine by the glass instead of the wine flight. Here's a tiny treasure situated in an unlikely neighborhood, able to satisfy the most dedicated pescetarian - as well as any discerning food lover. Ivan's only open a few nights of each week--so do be sure to reserve your table well in advance of your intended visit. Most Highly Recommended.
