This restaurant tries hard. The dishes are technically intricate and ambitious, and the execution is good. However the balance of flavours, in most of what we tasted, was simply not good. The risotto, however, was very good. The wine list felt a bit limited, and the glasses in which it was served were unfortunately horrendous. The service was good, however the lengthy explanation to describe each item felt excessive considering that the food we tasted was mostly not very good. Of course there were many other options on the menus, and people’s tastes vary, but this was a disappointing experience for us.

My husband and I travel extensively and this is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The food was delicious and each course was a work of art. The service was amazing and at the end , the chef came to our table and thanked us for coming. A memorable evening!

I booked a table at Vero for my wife and I as we were celebrating our anniversary on this day. I think we were the first to arrive, but the restaurant filled quickly, so I'd definitely advise booking if you don't want to be disappointed. The food and service were sublime. The waiters and manager are always on hand to offer any advice on wine pairings and don't try to palm off the most expensive wines as some restaurants do, though I have come across that yet, here in Venice. I have made bookings at other restaurants throughout our stay, so there is a comparison, but I would definitely recommend Vero, and I would certainly dine here again without hesitation. I just want to thank all those at the restaurant for making our special day that extra bit special. Thank you all.

Fantastic food at a great location a bit tucked away from the masses yet with a view onto the canal. The service and attention was fantastic and very forthcoming. Last but not least we had some amazing wine. Definitely a recommendation.

Vero is elegant, refined, thoughtful. Each of our selections was meticulously prepared and presented with understated detail. The staff was helpful and thorough, answering our questions, making suggestions and sharing insights. We were lucky to secure a reservation here. Highly recommended.
