This restaurant is a private oasis just past the sweaty heart of Trastevore. It’s pricey but worth every penny. The professional staff was extremely attentive. The food was a work of art. Chef’s kiss!

This restaurant is situated in a upscale Hotel in Trastavere. We were met by the waiters, and offered the best service from the start. We chose the tasting menu, to get the best impression of what the restaurant has to offer. The wines and the waitingstaff did a good job. The chef and whoever manned the kitchen, not so much. The first row of dishes were an ok start. Not great, but ok. The follow up spaghetti was a strange item to put in a menu. Lack of taste, no depth whatsoever. The following dishes where bland and uninteresting. The fishdish had a crispy element to it, but no depth, dimensions, stock flavour. Second last dish had a surprise element that stood out, and finally matched some of the quality we had been looking for the entire evening. A rasberry, that looked like a freeze dried rasberry, but was a rasberrypowder sprinkled rasberry mousse shaped like a perfect rasberry. All in all a thorough disappointment from the kitchen this day. Maybe other guests will be luckier?

The service was fantastic. Every course was delicious and presented elegantly. The ambience was great and we were Given a little tour of the monestary afterwards. Spectacular views from the rooftop.

The sauce of the roasted red pepper cream pasta was more the taste taste of an over reduction of chicken broth or something and less the taste of roasted red pepper. The lamb was clearly micro because the temperature went from medium rare to medium dry and tasteless as time went on. The beef cheek clearly had no real time in preparation of the dish. Although tender the depth of taste was hollow. The service was friendly but not properly trained. For example, they poured a local olive oil which was very good. But when we saw a bottle of evoo from the north we enjoyed,they poured it in the same dish which already had the local evoo. To summarize, a big skip. Head down into town and have a lively experience and the food is fine.

6 of us were visiting Rome for 60th birthday and booked the restaurant based on reviews and location. We all had a fabulous time the Food and service was excellent and the venue very nice. I ate the sesame Tuna to star and the lamb rack for main both of which were great. The waiting team also helped select some fantastic wines to pair with our meal. It was also very nice that at the end of the meal one of the waiters suggested that we visit the roof of the venue to view the Rome skyline at night and escorted us there. We had a fabulous time and would definately book again if we return to Rome.

We were 4 Australian friends celebrating a 70th birthday and had a truly amazing and memorable experience in this hotel restaurant located in a former convent in Trastevere, Rome. There is a beautiful courtyard garden, but as we dined there in mid September the evening was a bit too chilly to eat outside. We chose the signature menu with paired wines and the food, wines and service were exceptional. The wonderful staff treated us like royalty, even escorting us to the lift when we left, (although that may have been more because we had the giggles). A truly unforgettable experience. One thing I should say is that this pearl of a restaurant did not come up on google searches for best restaurants in Rome and it was only through a reference on TripAdvisor where it consistently scored 5* that I was finally able to track it down. You only seem to be able to book it on The Fork app. There is no phone number for the restaurant on the hotel website. So it is truly a well kept secret.
