7/10All was very correct and the food was good. I was annoyed because I had my 4 year old grand daughter with me and my daughter and they charged a rather expensive cover for the child (€50) and didn’t tell me in advance. I only realized after we had left.

7/10The foie gras, the langoustine ravioli and the grand Marnier souffle were good. The duck was inedible. The waitress was hardworking but overworked. We were overcharged. We have been many times since they opened, but will never return. We cannot recommend them any more.

7.5/10Still a lovely restaurant, but not nearly as elegant as it was years ago when we were first there. I know it’s under new ownership so that could be a part of the change. The lighting was very bright, which was not in line with typical fine dining. Service and food were both good but not great as we expected from a one star Michelin restaurant.

10/10Excellent French food in an elegant yet tranquil setting. The service was attentive yet not overbearing. All of our dishes were delicious, and the foie gras was the best we had during our stay in Paris. Even the bread and butter were amazing. Prices are steep, but it was a special occasion and we really enjoyed the experience.

10/10+2A lot of research and thought went into our decision to dine here on our first visit to Paris and visiting the Eiffel Tower afterward. Concerns of it being an inauthentic experience given proximity to a tourist mecca were quickly dashed. Staff was exceeding welcoming, accommodating and attentive, including recommendations for the aspargus appetizer and monkfish entree as both were especially fresh. A thoroughly enjoyable experience that we will gladly visit on our next visit. The mushroom soup starter had an amazing flavor profile and set the tone for the skill in the kitchen. All the accompanying sauces were spectacular and the appetizers and entrees were stars in their own rite. The profiteroles were exceptional and our waiter expertly poured the chocolate sauce around the circumference of the dessert rather than over the top as was done by another waiter at a nearby table. This allowed the elements of the dish to shine individually and complimented the entirety of the offering.

10/10Everything was excellent - from the food to the wine to the service. We did the tasting menu and enjoyed every course. We also did the accompanying wine pairing, and it was also excellent. The choices for the pairing were very well done, and all the wine was outstanding. We especially loved the pigeon! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a special dining experience in Paris!

6.5/10We went here 8 years ago and LOVED everything from the food to the service. The food was amazing! We have not returned back to Paris until now so Le Violon d'Ingres was first on our list to celebrate our daughter’s birthday in Paris. This was a special trip. My daughter just started medical school and does not get much time off. We were all excited to dine at Le Violon d'Ingres! The service was excellent but the food lacking. We had bean velouté, shredded haddock, hen's egg, warm caponata, duck foie gras, cod loin, beef cheeks and the desserts. The foie gras was the saving grace of our meal. The cod loin and beef cheek were extremely salty. We did not finish our meal even though the portion was not big. We were hopeful for dessert. The millefeuille was ordinary. The cheese plate had to have a substitution and I would skip next time. Overall, we were disappointed. This is a Michelin restaurant. This is not the same Le Violon d'Ingres we went to before.

10/10+5The service was impeccable from start to finish. We were there late so the crowd thinned out, my grandchild was asked if she wanted to meet the chef so she was able to go back and see the kitchen. Waiters were friendly and very helpful for Americans with very basic French language skills. Assistance was readily offered for wine selections. We all did the tasting menu and it was all fabulous. The atmosphere was high class but comfortable and not stuffy. Truly a high class restaurant with excellent food. The Michelin star level is here. Although it was pricey, It was worth every penny and we would have easily spent twice in a similar restaurant in the US. Enjoyed our visit and would go again!!
