The service was very slow and the food was not really good. They didn’t want to accommodate my requests to about pasta or risotto.

Food quality is poor. Everything is slow. Servers are not trained enough for 5 star hotel restaurants. Not worth visiting if you’re staying mainland in Venice.

Deserves its star. Gorgeous surroundings, staff were attentive and knowledge and we enjoyed chatting to a few of them. The food itself was delicious and beautifully presented. We had some memorable dishes and they were able to cater towards my allergy to certain molluscs. I took my partner here for hus birthday and it was definitely worth it.

Tremendously over-rated and over-priced. Nothing particularly imaginative or noteworthy. We've been to many 1, 2 and 3 star restaurants around the world. Unfortunately, Oro was not deserving of its star in our opinion.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was not as elevated as we expected. We were told gentlemen needed to wear jackets, but my husband was almost the only one in a jacket. Many guests were in very casual clothes. Service was impeccable. The Sommelier did some of the best wine/food pairings I've ever had with really interesting, unique wines. Even so, the food was the star. Beautifully presented, perfect portions, well balanced textures and flavors. It was our favorite tasting menu of the trip to Italy (we did 2 others in Milan and Bellagio). The chef came out to talk to us, which was a very nice and appreciated touch.

Our experience at Oro was truly phenomenal. We were treated to a multi-course meal curated by the chef and a wine pairing to match each course. The food was absolutely gorgeous both in flavor and appearance. The service was beyond our expectations and they made us feel incredibly special.

A superb experience , the chef is somebody to be followed . A rising star , the balance of the menu and the detail in the mixture of flavors is really worth to experience

The staff was impeccable, the food was inspirational, the wine was brilliantly hand selected for accompanying, the view was mesmerizing. I would highly recommend this dining adventure. Truly magical.

very nice experience. excellent location and food. In the end we had to find the way to the nightboat on our own and we were not adviced that it would not leave from the same position as arrival. Eventually we found it. Not a perfect ending for an otherwise lovely evening.

Delightful presentation of local cuisine!

Very quiet on arrival, no music playing. For the price of the tasting menu, everything should be perfect, the bread however was over cooked and burnt on the bottom and two of the dishes served had collapsed on the plate (pigeon and chocolate dishes). Everything else was great especially the risotto!!

Sadly the weather was a little threatening, the sky was black - so we had to sit inside, which initially was a little disappointing, as the setting is beautiful. A warm welcome, comfy seating, intimate service. Not sure about the menu, as the dishes can be ordered "as you like". Not typically Italian food and in line with fine dining (which sadly is never enough for my husband), however the extensive wine list more tan met his needs. The recommended lobster dish, that I had was very disappointing, I was offered something else, but chose not to have anything else. We enjoyed some lovely cheeses to follow and amazing chocolate served with coffee. The staff are humorous and "unstuffy", it is truly elegant, fine dining at its best. Barbara, the host is a true credit to Oro. We enjoyed every moment - yes it's expensive but most enjoyable and very memorable.

Faultless environment. Expensive but what else do you expect for better than average service, good ingredients well prepared. Wines very expensive but can recommend Planeta Chardonnay 80E one of the cheapest on the list. A lovely evening.
