Lousy is the diplomatic way to express our dissatisfaction of this experience. Surely never again. No table cloths as advertised in the photographs on the fork & on trip advisor. The music was a mix of bad taste jazz and old rock unbearable beats. The waiters are out of a museum or asylum. The owner browsed around the only three tables with guests one of which was hours. We quickly understood why it was so empty. No quality / value for money spent. Overpriced for no quality at all. Was never charged 6 € for bread in Rime. The two of us had one starter and one main with a bottle of water and paid almost 50 € !!!! Not recommended @ all.

Delicious meal in a quaint and relaxing environment where you can share a conversation while dining. Service is first-rate and very much a neighborhood feel with consistently excellent food when we’ve been fortunate to be in Rome.

I am a professionally trained chef and my husband is a world-travelled foodie and frequent visitor to Rome, so when I say we had one of the most unpleasant meals ever at this restaurant, take me seriously. The interaction with the owner and with our server was strange, awkward and uncomfortable from the moment we arrived and got worse as the meal progressed, especially when we expressed our displeasure with the two pasta dishes we ordered. Amatriciana and Cacio e Pepe, two dishes that you can get sublime versions of at hundreds of restaurants in Rome. Here they come out covered in so much salty pecorino cheese that they are gooey, thick and salty to the point of being almost inedible. This was very bad, inexcusable really and the owner refused to take any of our critique seriously...so the pasta dishes will be the same for anyone else that makes the mistake of eating here. Avoid...there are so many other great places to eat in Rome.

there are enough seats but they provide me a bad seat. one person guest deserves also a good seat if she had reserved a table. but service was really good and food was good and formidable. especially artichoke!! they recommended some good gelato shop.

If you are looking for delicious and authentic Roman food served with style, grace and sympatico sensibilities in a smart but comfortable and unpretentious setting, look no further than Osteria 44. The owner Sergio will welcome you in, guide your food and wine choices impeccably, and you'll leave satisfied that this has been fantastic value for money for every mouthful. Highly, highly recommended. ♥️
