We arrived in Bologna and our hotel recommended Posta. We were blown away by the quality of food and wine together with the friendly quality service. I would highly recommend this restaurant

Excellent food, but servicing too stressfull and laud guests. We had to leave restaurant after two dishes as some guests had a lot of perfume on, which we are sensitive for. That spoiled our evening!

Posta is a very Italian upscale locals restaurant. Specializing in Tuscan food and meat . We wanted to try a Florentine steak and ordered it medium rare. The steak was very under cooked. The plate was supposed to be sizzling it was not hot . That piece of meat was perfect if you like rare rare. Which the Italians like . We ate some of it and asked them to cook the rest more and that opened the flavor more to a Berns steak taste . This is a cultural thing . We were the only Americans eating there . I noticed pasta dishes and everyone prefers a special appetizer fried zucchini flower . That was delicious perfection. The wines are Tuscan . I think if you’re in the mood for steak this is a very good choice. If you like it medium and it arrives raw send it back . The chef will cook it a bit more The food was delicious we did not have desert It’s a low key elegant restaurant. I feel the owner could have tried to make us feel welcome and talk to us . The only negative….

Posta forgot our order. We had to wait more than an hour to receive the main course. Salad starter was not fresh. An hour and a half after, we received the fish that was not cooked. The staff was insolent.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The artwork made us smile as well :). We look forward to returning.

Wow, where do I start?? I can definitely see why they no longer obtain a Michelin star, the place is definitely lacking in many and I mean many areas. First off, if you’re American, just go somewhere else, you will watch the wait staff serve all the Italians with the best service while you sit there with empty cups and wine glasses. I had to get up and ask for another water bottle and the wine menu again after sitting there without either for over 20 minutes, meanwhile the tables around me are getting refilled and serviced accordingly 100% due to being Italian and or speaking Italian. Now on the food, I’ve never sent a dish back at a “Michelin” star place in my life, well today I had too. The Tortellini with Parmesan cream was downright horrible and inedible to where I didn’t even eat it. My wife’s dish was fine and once’s she finished it, then they finally noticed I barely touched my dish and asked about it. Once I told the lady, she pushed a fork into them and finally agreed they weren’t right and were cooked wrong. She did offer to bring another half dish, but by this time I’m just ready to bounce on this whole horrible experience. In simple words, save yourself and go elsewhere, this place sucks and again I know exactly why they don’t have a Michelin star today.

The service pleasantly surpassed our expectations, although a slight oversight regarding our espresso and grappa order momentarily occurred. However, upon bringing this to their attention, the staff promptly rectified the situation, promptly delivering our order along with a heartfelt apology. Our culinary journey encompassed a meticulously crafted three-course meal, further enhancing our overall enjoyment.
