9/10The food was very good, but most of all the service and all the explanations that comes with every plate is excellent.

8/10Beautiful interior but not so attractive location. Friendly and helpful staff but the timing could be better. Delicious and exiting tastes but sometimes less practical to eat. Do visit, the originality is great.

8.5/10Creative and innovative menu with top ingredients and nice presentations. Only one or two plates stood out in terms of taste so may be better to go for the tasting menu to get a good sample

10/10Having traveled the world and savored Chinese cuisine in some of the finest restaurants in Beijing and Shanghai, I can confidently say that dining at Il Gusto di Xinge in Florence was an unparalleled experience. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between traditional Chinese elements and a chic, modern aesthetic, making it an inviting space for both locals and international visitors. The owner and chef, Xin Ge Liu, truly sets this restaurant apart. She personally visited our table to share her philosophy and the deeply personal inspirations behind each dish. Her stories of growing up in China, woven with memories and experiences from her childhood, enriched the meal, making it not just a dinner but a profound cultural immersion. Chef Liu's approach is both poetic and innovative, evident in every course served. The dishes were spectacular, combining fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and impeccable presentation that could easily be considered artistic masterpieces. The wine selection was equally impressive, thoughtfully chosen to complement the intricate flavors of the cuisine. From the warm greeting upon arrival to the last sip of wine, every moment at Il Gusto di Xinge was memorable. Chef Liu's passion for her craft and her ability to connect with guests through her culinary creations made this not just a meal, but a truly extraordinary dining journey. For anyone looking to experience the best of Chinese cuisine with a personal touch, Il Gusto di Xinge is a must-visit in Florence.

10/10Exceptional restaurant proposing chinese gourmet dishes, meant to be shared. Lovely cocktails and wines are available too. Really appreciated the presence of the manager, she really drove us and communicated the concept of the restaurant very clearly and warmly.
