The entire time was a disaster. The newly hired staff of three-days, ruined the nite. She took the order and forgot the main meal. She overordered the salad..... forgot to order one of the mains. I believe she just wasn't paying attention. Overall, it was a 2 hour experience and our meal was a failure. I've been there 4 times...... I wish you would get your staff together.......Train them before they work.

Good place where to have a dinner in the center of Amsterdam. Nice interior, In the Waag is a beautiful catering establishment in the old Waag. I went there twice, the best experience was when we sat inside and enjoyed a good wine and meat.

Been here for both work and for leisure over the years. Today, the food was amazing as usual. However, service was so so poor. Service was slow and it felt a hassle to be there. A bit let down.

Nice ambience but very loud in the main dining room. Service was very slow, it took 30 minutes to get the menu, 15 minutes before they came back to take the order and then another 30 minutes until the food arrived. In all fairness though, they had a full house including a large group that probably drained their resources a bit. Food was ok, we had the burgers that were a bit tasteless but well made.

Food was delicious, it's a shame that they were short-staffed. Or because we were tucked around the corner. Took 4 hours to have a 3 course meal.

Although appearing quite touristy on the outside (it is a castle for goodness sake), the inside is quite tasteful and well thought out. The chandeliers with real candles are an authentic and cool touch so I recommend going for dinner. On the other hand a lunch on the terrace on a sunny day could be lovely as well. It is not inexpensive but the food was excellent! I will definitely take visitors to this restaurant for a uniquely Amsterdam meal.

We were here with a group of 22 people in a seperate room. The building is superb but sadly enough was the food disappointing. Aswell the fish as the meat was of moderate quality and the sidedishes were disappointing.
