2/10To start with, I had to go and find a member of staff to let them know I was there for my reservation who then asked if I’d booked then just waved me to a table. It wasn’t busy in the restaurant at this time, there were only two other tables. When taking my order the waitress just stood next to me with an iPad and made no effort to ask what I would like, then when I’d finished ordering she just walked off. Then the food came and it was awful, I ordered the carbonara and the pasta was so thick it wasn’t cooked (definitely not al dente just not cooked), the meat was not guanciale it was just burnt bacon and the sauce was neon yellow. Not just the worst food I’ve in Firenze but the worst food I’ve ever had. Most unfriendly wait staff that I have come across, every other place I have been in Firenze everyone is so friendly but here I felt so uncomfortable because of the waitress

2/10So. Where to start? This was the worst food we’ve had in Italy in years. The dishes didn’t match the descriptions on the menu, and the overall experience was disappointing. Starters: We ordered radicchio that was supposed to be sweetened with honey. There was no sign of honey at all, just a bitter aftertaste. The bruschetta was the best thing on the table (aside from the wine), but even that was dry and left our mouths feeling like the Sahara. Pasta dishes: The pasta itself was okay. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives stopped. One dish was listed as coming with sage butter and guanciale. There was no sage flavor, and the meat was clearly not guanciale — more like salami. Another pasta was supposed to come with chocolate fondant. What arrived instead was cocoa powder. The meat in that dish also had a strange aftertaste. We mentioned this to the waitress, but she insisted the meat was guanciale. It didn’t seem like she had ever actually tried it.
