Good service and atmosphere.

The setting, the food, the service were all exceptional. One sensed the pride that the chef took in preparing every dish, both in terms of taste and appearance, a pride that was also reflected by the service staff. As dining experience as magical as Florence itself.

The dining room is of elegant simplicity. Service was impeccable. Warm and friendly and at the same time very professional and efficient. The food was perfectly executed. All .the dishes we had were very balanced in taste and were made with top quality ingredients. Definitely my top choice for an elegant dining experience in Florence. Will be coming back.

We were the first ones there and didn’t realize it was in such a nice hotel so we were underdressed but the waiter eased our nervousness right away. Service was fantastic and the meal was phenomenal .

This restaurant quality and magnificent service is not far from many of the Michelin restaurants that we have been to, in fact it’s better than many of them…I think this says a lot from this place.

Outstanding! Fine dining at its best. A refreshing change from the many good restaurants where we have dined in Florence. Very different menu compared to most in Florence. Presentation of each dish was amazing. Definately a find!

Unbelievable food! The waiter, Francesco, is quite simply on another level in terms of the service he provided. You felt like royalty! Lovely restaurant, lovely food, lovely service.

We visited the restaurant for our 20th Wedding anniversary. We frequently travel (both business & leisure) and enjoy good food & wine. We must honestly say, the dinner at the Guelfi & Ghibelini was outstanding! It started with fantastic service from Giulia and continued with excellent food! Great antipasti Fasana Beef Tartar), outstanding Primi (Maccaroni cinghiale in dolceforte) and divine Secondi (Guancia di manzo). Special mention to a side dish "Beans all' ucoletta", white beans with a touch of tomato & sage (which I could eat a whole "bucket" full). Great wines and the best dessert wine by a long way, "Muffato della Salad" from Umbria. We will surely return for more!!

We enjoyed our Easter meal here... everything was wonderful - the food, the wines, the service. Be sure to check out the cool mirrors scattered around.
