Some of the dishes were good, but the service was terrible. We waited 25 minutes just to be offered something to drink. The dinner took almost five hours, and most of the food arrived cold or lukewarm at best, which made the experience far less enjoyable than it should have been.

Nice setting as a library. Great books including one I had never seen before, a book of recipes from Paul Bocuse, almost only with pictures and almost no text. And they certainly read it because the amuse bouches with a lentil mouse recovered with strawberry jam were very nice, the avocado/octopus roll was very good and then the monkfish with Jerusalem artichokes was great. And the get up chocolate mouse with a gelée of pear was top.

We had a wonderful dinner, all the dishes, the wine and the service was on highest level, probably our best restaurant-experience in Firenze since 54 years. Congratulations and many thanks for the whole staff!

This is one of the best restaurants we have visited in Italy. The chef combines Asian, Latin American and Italian ingredients to create dishes that burst with flavor. Every single course (we opted for the five course menu) exceeded our expectations. We chose this restaurant because we did not want to eat yet more pasta or traditional Italian food. We have been traveling around Italy and we wanted something more interesting, less heavy. The staff are friendly and professional. We asked for a bottle of Rosso di Montalcino and we were given one that was very good indeed. Everything perfect.

Outstanding service and food

This was the eighth trip I’ve made to Florence and I make sure Cuculia is the first meal I eat there. I have no idea how he does it but the food gets better and more inventive every time I go. The service is excellent. I can honestly say I have never eaten anywhere I have enjoyed more.

They were so utterly helpful in ensuring my parents had a memorable 40th anniversary. The food was, per my mother, the best she had ever had, and the service was impeccable. Thank you!

Everything was delicious! Enjoyed the surprise chef selected small bites before dinner ! Service was excellent and the quiet , calm atmosphere was so refreshing. Highly recommend this little gem.

+1Everything was delicious from the starters to the dessert and the winepairing was just perfect! This experience is so much better than most Michelinstar restaurants. We took the five course diner for 89 euro. We would recommend the restaurant to everyone who loves excellent gastronomic food accompanied by the perfect wine. Also thank you for the perfect service and the moment we had with the chef who is a true artist.

+7Absolutely incredible experience. We did the vegan seven-course menu for dinner. Vegan fine dining can be very hit or miss at non-specialty restaurants, but Cuculia got everything right. We enjoyed a breadth of ingredients, textures and flavour profiles. I was particularly a fan of the risotto (the contrast of the sweetness of the tomatoes and the soy sauce reduction was brilliant) and the chocolate bread dessert (the peach purée added a wonderful tartness to the sweet!) This was one of many highlights of our trip to Florence. Highly recommend for a date night with a partner.

Cuculia is our favorite restaurant in Florence. The food is excellent and creative, every dish was a delight. The staff are wonderful — friendly, and helpful.

This was the best meal my wife and I have ever had in our lives! This was our last day in Florence on our honeymoon before we head down to the Amalfi Coast to cap our trip off, but we will be dreaming of this place forever. The food was out of this world, the service from Gianluca, Catalina, and Luigi was impeccable, and the restaurant itself had the most intimate and perfect ambience. It’s a wonder this place only has one Michelin Star - it should have 3! Everything from the amuse bouche of miso broccolini and apricot, to the antipasti of stuffed tomato and salmon mosaic, to the primi of beef ravioli (of which we ordered ANOTHER after our secondi), to the secondi of pork with a raspberry and cherry sauce and beef filet with the best potatoes I’ve ever had - this was a meal for the ages. Top it all off with an amazing bottle of wine, multiple treats to celebrate our honeymoon, and incredible desserts, this place has our whole heart. We will be back every time we come to Florence!
