5.5/10The portions were extremely small for relatively high prices. (4 morsels of chicken for 25 Euros - a portion so small, our three guests who ordered the chicken remained very hungry for another dish afterwards. Compounding our laughable experience there, the supplemental pasta dish we then ordered had a long gray hair in it. The restaurant apologized by comping one of our two desserts. (Seriously?) The steak Florentine, which we did not order but saw on nearby tables, looked extremely rare — no regrets there. Overall, the food was good and the ambiance is lovely. However, this place needs to learn PR and, in our view, is not worth the hype.

Dear Steven, Thank you for appreciating the quality of our food and the atmosphere of our restaurant. Regarding the portion size of the chicken dish, our menu follows a specific culinary style, although we understand that perceptions of value for money can vary from guest to guest. Concerning what you reported about the pasta dish, we understand the inconvenience and apologize for it. However, we would like to clarify that we do not have staff with long or gray hair in our kitchen. In any case, we immediately apologized, removed the pasta dish from the bill, and also offered one of the desserts, something that was not mentioned in your review. As for the Florentine steak, which you did not order, it is traditionally served rare. This is the proper way to prepare it, and the guests who ordered it that evening were very satisfied. Everything about this restaurant was stellar! The food - exceptional. Great selection, well prepared. The staff extremely attentive to the customers. I was having a hot flash walking in and the host noticed and put the Air conditioner on for a short bit while I acclimated. The best was the ambiance. The interior is so cozy and beautifully decorated. Jazz music played in the background really making the entire meal a true pleasure. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Florence.

Our journey in Florence we've started from this cozy Osteria. Would recommend this place to visit. Food, service, atmosphere are on good level. No problem if you don't know Italian, waiter/barista (my bad, I don't remember the name of him) will help you with a choice or give any kind of advice on English 🙂

10/10Really superb. The restaurant has a great, welcoming ambience, the staff are very friendly but also highly professional and knowledgeable about the food. And the food it self was delicious. A reassuringly limited menu of regional specialties, everything we ate was top notch. We would return in a heartbeat.

5/10We asked for an English menu, they didn't have one, the waitress said we didn't expect tourists on new year's eve suggested we use Google translate. . Food was average at best. we walked 20 minutes from the centre to get there, nothing special at all.
