6.5/10Disappointing meal. After seeing so many positive reviews and reading the menu, we were ready for a memorable meal. First, there was almost no one in the restaurant when we arrived. A bad sign as most good restaurants in Florence is perennially full. The meal took a long time to arrive and even though I told our server we are splitting our food, in Italian, he brought all 3 courses at once. The mare calda appetizer had a nice broth but it was ruined by several pieces of burnt bread. The whole dish just tasted burnt. The seafood risotto was just OK. We could barely taste the seafood flavor in the risotto and there was hardly any seafood in the dish plus the risotto was too dry. Not sure what’s going on but it seems we walked into the wrong restaurant. The one we read about sounded so much better. Truly disappointing.

Good evening sir, I’m the owner of the restaurant, at the time you came there was three tables more, in the restaurant not only you. and the bread of mare caldo, should served like that, “ crostini” in Italian. The sea food risotto served with scampi, shrimps, calamari and clamps. The waiter asked you, and you said you want all at once. It was not honest from you this comment sir. We work so hard to satisfy our customers. All the time I put discount in my restaurant unfortunately some people like you come to criticized. On top of your lie, we offered you limoncello and biscotti. And 20% discount ..

9.5/10What a wonderful little, local restaurant! We had the gnocchi with sage, bufalo mozzarella, and grilled vegetable salad. All delicious! Olives and bite-sized focaccia served pre-dinner, as well as the homemade limoncello and biscotti after dinner were a nice complimentary treat! Wonderful conversations with the host made us feel like locals!

10/10We enjoyed our service and delicious food. Our son had loved his spaghetti which he devoured, I had the risotto which was amazing, full of favor. My husband had the chicken cutlet and tomatoes on the bruschetta was so fresh and sweet. Can’t wait to return again!

10/10Selected for its location near Piazzale Michelangelo, we found this restaurant to be charming, reasonably priced and the BEST MEAL we’ve had in all of Italy. Grilled vegetables with burrata appetizer followed by the rocket, pear and Gorgonzola salad were delicious and a pleasant diversion from other standard menus. My husband’s spaghetti with clams had the option for a spicy oil, to which he selected medium heat … amazing! I selected fresh pasta with truffles, ordered in grams, and it was fabulous!! This place is DEFINITELY worth trying!!!

We went to Mozza & Bollicine for our post-engagement dinner. Everything was perfect, and most importantly the food was delicious, with the owner as chef ensuring our satisfaction. The service was impeccable with prompt and attentive wait staff. We enjoyed the location conveniently near the foot of the Piazzale Michelangelo, and the ambience was relaxed, modern and intimate. A+++

10/10First, the atmosphere is wonderful - along the river, outdoor seating. Salvatore treats you like family and the service is excellent. The fried polenta was so crisp and the pear and rocket salad was perfect. But the best - artichoke stuffed ravioli cooked to perfection. Great wine selection too. This is an authentic Florentine restaurant. It is not in the very center, which is one of its virtues, but it is not a bridge too far either. A short stroll along the river just long enough to feel the calm and enjoy the beauty of the city in the evening. Well done.
